Swensen's (Buy 1 Free 1 Lunch Treats) @ SS2

Currently Swensen's Ice Cream Cafe is having a special promotion during lunch hour.

BUY 1 FREE 1 Lunch Treats from 11am to 3pm on Weekdays.

The promotion is just applicable to normal ala-carte main course meals. (ice-cream not consider >.<") So you need a twin pax to enjoy the promotion unless you can finish both the main course. Any combination is applicable but you pay at the more expensive ones.

I went there with 3 friends. We order both Lamb Chop with Almond flakes and both Grilled salmon each @ RM29.90. All of us had ice water which is FOC hahahaa.

After the taxes and charges, we pay around RM17.20 each.

The food is nice ! Luckily they did not reduce the food quality although having the Buy 1 Free 1 promotion. But instead they improved as compared to months ago that once I ate, the taste is less than average.

Rocket United Cafe @ SS2 {CLOSED DOWN}

A friend told me there is a new Cafe open in SS2 called - Rocket United. I was jokingly asking is it just a office for DAP meetings?

that day went to have a look and surprisingly is really a cafe !

there were Annuar Ibrahim and Lim Guan Ying (Penang Chief Minister) big poster on the wall too.

They serve mostly on local food.

Hainanese Chicken Rice @ RM8.90

Claypot Assam Seafood with rice @ RM9.80

Nyonya rice with Rendang Chicken @ RM8.90 (the rice is BLUE in color !! something like herbs)

Nasi Lemak with Rendang Chicken @ RM8.90 (the rendang chicken is marinated well)

Nasi Lemak with Sambal Sotong @ RM8.90

the food is quite nice and taste is good too! Will surely go back to try other dishes next time.

Portion is quite big, good for those who eat alot. Most of us is hungry that day so we ordered the rice. There are also all kinds of noodles, desserts etc.

Fun Taipei Teacafe @ SS2

There is a new cafe ~ 趣台北咖啡茶館 just open last month in SS2. Went there have a try.. but unfortunately they close half day for some renovation =.='' .. so we went again the next day... hahaa finally got to try it.

from the name you will know they serving Taiwan Food !!!

very simple decoration inside...

there is a shelf of comics for leisure when you are waiting for your food to be served (but why no magazines!! haahhaa)...

many things wanna try... i love taiwan food....

at last we ordered

Minced meat rice set (魯肉飯套餐) comes with a soup, vege, egg and toufu @ RM9.95

3 cups sauce chicken set (三杯雞飯套餐) @ RM14.50

(quite alot of the chicken... but the taste is not rich enough.. dint have the alcohol taste)

(this is really nice.. crispy and yummy with their special 'powder' !!!)

Taiwan Sausage (臺灣香腸) @ RM6.00

(delicious toooo! missing it...the last time i eat is in Taiwan few months ago.. hahhaa)

everything is nice and delicious... but just a bit pissed off when i saw the menu that the milk tea is without PEARL !!

even their menu is written 珍珠奶茶 Pearl Milktea

but you need to ADD for PEARL..... why !!!?? why pearl milk tea without pearl but u need to ADD $$ for it =.=''

so the milktea with pearl is cost RM3.50 + RM1.00 @ RM4.50

what to do.... have to pay for it lor... ahhahaaaa i actually feedback to them that why not just put the price of pearl milktea as RM4.50 instead printing it as additional RM1.00 for adding pearl.. some customers like me might pissed off when seeing it la...... lolz but the waitress replied that... their boss insist it to be like that.... GOSH...!

afterall.... still worth a try in this CAFE !
