Melaka Street Restaurant @ SS2

Melaka Street has been in SS2 for several years. This is a restaurant that most of the office came for annual meals because they are HALAL. They serves nyonya melaka food.

Claypot Tofu - nice gravy and there are mix vege in it too.

Marmite Chicken - my favorite!!

Mango kerabu

Pandan Chicken - a bit dry

Eggplant with Sambal - so glad is not very oily

Claypot Curry fish - The curry is mix with coconut milk, very thick and taste good. especially is not very spicy. Generous slices of fish meat, long beans, eggplant, lady fingers etc. Everyone will love this dish.

Fu-Yong Egg - i like this too

Guess what this? huge bowl of ice !!

Hahahaa is Cendol Melaka!!! the coconut, red beans and cendol are at the bottom.  Mix it with Gula Melaka its perfect !

All the food here is strong and rich in taste !! Enjoy my dining here with reasonable price.

H & H Restaurant and Catering @ Kota Damansara

H & H serves the local cuisine. I knew this restaurant since I was a kid. H&H are famous on catering for functions and parties. They are now located at the Kota Damansara.

One of their specialties is always the Set Meal for 4, inclusive of all favourites that save our time and effort to think what to order.

Choice of 4 dishes for just less than RM50.00
1. Curry Fish Head or Assam Fish Head
2. Kapitan Chicken or Claypot Chicken
3. Fried Crispy Sotong or Baked Towfoo
4. Selection of Vegetables

Kapitan Chicken
This is served with 2 huge drumstick and thigh. The chicken is super tender and the gravy is thick and flavourful.

Curry Fish Head
The fish head is fresh and comes tofu pok, ladies fingers, eggplant, long beans, cabbage etc. I like the curry sauce which is thick with coconut and little sourish assam. Best to serve with white rice.

Fried Crispy Sotong
Another delight of mine. the Sotong is super fresh and crispy. The flour is not thick yet flavourful. It's like a plate of snack food.

Stir Fried Kangkung
After all spicy and curry dishes, we order this with just garlic fried. The kangkung is crunchy and green with the flavourful of oyster sauce.

Cendol with Red Bean
Additional order this for dessert. Quite flavourful gula melaka but the coconut milk is quite powderish. I still prefer the Penang Famous Cendol style.

Cockroach Lemon Tea @ Penang Nyonya, Subang Parade

Have been a long time i abandon blogging... but today i encounter something horrible and disgusting that i cant give myself an excuse not to blog about it.

Today went to Penang Nyonya at Subang Parade for lunch. This is not the first time having lunch there. They are usually packed during lunch time. Chinese boss and workers are all non-chinese. The food there is so so merely more to malay food style of cooking.

Today i order the set lunch meal with ice lemon tea. I requested less ice for my lemon tea. I drank one quarter of it before the meal came. While i was eating half way, the ice almost melted. Suddenly i saw something in the glass.... a creature about 1.5cm stagnant at the edge of the ice n tea...

is a baby COCKROACH !!!!!!!    i immediately push the drink away.. and some of my friends dare not even look at it... yucks...

Showed it to the waitress, and she din't say anything but took away my glass of lemon tea. Later she back with a fresh glass of ice lemon tea with an apologize.

When calling the bill, i requested an compensate by a free meal or discount. The waitress reply me ''tak boleh, Boss tak ada, kata tak boleh''  (boss is not in, boos cannot give discount)

Heard from colleagues, they previously experienced stomach ache and diarrhea after eating in this Penang Nyoya...

oh gosh...  i wont come back to this restaurant ever again... !!!

** i regret not taking any photos/ evidence of the cockroach, because that time everyone is panic and shocked. totally forgotten what to do.. **
