Another taiwanese bubble tea drink is out at Kota Damansara -- Share Tea 歇腳亭. Located at the same row of Chatime and just right opposite of Ochado.





They are more specialized on fruits drinks. There are also several level of sweetness you can pick on.

After their first outlet at Subang Jaya last 2 months, here comes another new outlet of BlackBall at Sri Petaling now !!!

Black Ball the famous Original Taiwanese Tea & Dessert -- the BEST Grass Jelly 仙草 in town.

BlackBall company started back in 2006, has bloomed and now stands as one of the biggest dessert chains in Taipei with over 20 outlets and still expanding. Drawing from the idea of 'Xian Cao' 仙草 being 'black' in colour and taro ‘balls’, came the birth of BlackBall - a dessert connoiseur that has its roots in Taiwan.  

The company was founded and created by Mr. Tang, who is an experienced tour guide, when he came across ‘Xian Cao’ by chance upon travelling to ‘Guan Xi’. He was thrilled and excited by what he had encountered, as notonly did his new discovery taste great, but it also provided various health benefits. 

What makes our beverages and desserts differ from others? 

Tea - Unlike others, the tea we serve/use is freshly brewed on site everyday. For every four hours we will change our high quality tea leaves to serve you the freshest and the finest tea.

Instead of normal crushed ice, they uses Xian Cao crushed ice as the base of the BlackBall desserts.


The BlackBall Signature is the most popular ones... out of stock.. and need to wait around 30mins for the Taro Balls.

Although the menu only written 5 toppings but i can see mine got 7 (as shown in the pix) !!

Grass Jelly ice is the base, on top has a layer of Grass Jelly,  Taro Balls, Taro Q, Sweet Potato Q, Yellow Potato, Red Bean and Pearl. 嫩仙草，芋圓，芋Q，珍珠，紅豆。

QC very good, the taste is the same i get from Subang Jaya outlet. Their Xian Cao not too sweet, very smooth jelly and strong herbal taste. The Taro balls are chewy!! Taro Q can taste the real yam and sweet potato flesh. Everything is just so matching.

BlackBall Signature 大黑丸 (Hot) @ RM6.50

Its liquid grass jelly.. it slowly becomes solid when i'm eating.. later it becomes solid jelly but the taste is still very nice and herbal aroma is strong too.

"Jiu Fen" Taro Ball Grass Jelly 九份芋圓仙草冰 @ RM6.50

It name as a famous place Jiu Fen in Taiwan where the origin of Taro Balls. Besides the Taro Balls and Pearl it add on the Sweetened beans. Served with brown sugar syrup!

Separated Creamer for Blackball Signature and Brown sugar syrup for Jui Fen Taro Ball Grass Jelly to be added on according to your own taste.

Was told that the Xian Cao tea has NO add on sugar. Its all natural sweet from the herbal grass.

I din't try this when i visit the previous outlet because i scared will feel nasty for a huge cup of milk. But after tasting it, i was delighted with the fragrance that comes from the Xian Cao. Its so refreshing and cooling with the smooth and Q grass jelly, wont feel any sick of too much milk. This is my favourite drink now !!!!

BlackBall 黑丸 @ Subang Jaya

Another new ''brand'' came into Malaysia for famous Taiwanese Dessert -- BlackBall (黑丸) !!! Was invited to their soft launch, which offer buy 1 free 1 promotion. This is their first outlet in Malaysia, located at Subang SS 15. (just few shops away from Chatime and Snowflakes)

Soft launch started yesterday, and heard they close shop by 8pm because is all SOLD OUT.

I ''took away'' the BlackBall Signature @ RM6.50.
Grass Jelly ice is the base, on top has Grass Jelly, Taro Balls, Taro Q, Sweet Potato Q, Yellow Potato, Red Bean and Pearl.

Find their grass jelly is really superb and really can feel the herbal taste in it. There are two types of yam too... the rectangular shape kind got rich of pure yum meat and the yellow potato too. Red bean is sweet and pearls are Q !! Surprisingly i find the grass jelly ice is not very sweet and is just match the sweet toppings perfectly.

Since they are famous in grass jelly. Winter Melon Tea with Grass Jelly @ RM5.90 is a must-try item !! Especially for the smooth and Q grass jelly.

The staff are bit nervous and not very fluent in their rotation of preparing the desserts yet. As this is their first opening and first outlet now in Malaysia, believe they will improve and better ahead.

Snowflake Taiwanese Dessert (雪花棧) @ Kota Damansara

Snowflake first outlet was actually at Subang Jaya, near Asia Cafe foodcourt. But I first saw them was at their 2 outlet - Pavilion KL. That time i was so curious about the ''taro balls'' on the desserts but I didn't get a chance to try it until my friend suggested to the new outlet in Kota Damansara one day. This was their 3rd outlet in Malaysia, located at the busy inner square of Dataran Sunway, Kota Damanara.

We went there on a Saturday afternoon, the shop is almost full with customer.

All the desserts are healthy and 100% natural !!

One have to order and pay at the front counter first. Each of you will be given this gadget - Beeping UFO, after order. The gadget will vibrate and beeps with light when your order is ready. Collect your desserts at the back of the counter.

The Snowflakes Bestseller - with grass jelly, grass jelly ice, taro balls and creamer.

Two colors of taro balls are made of sweet potato and yam. They are chewy like soft gums. I love it so much. The grass jelly and ice was really cooling and just perfect during hot weather.

Soya series: Red bean, Pearl, grass jelly and yam. Honestly i don't like yam since small, but i love this which i personally can't explain why. Everything just match perfectly. Soya shaved ice taste like soya beancurd.

Another soya series: Taro balls, grass jelly and (i dono wats tat call hahah)

They also sell in HOT recently as some elderly and those who does not like cold stuff.

Black glutinous with red bean and taro balls. You can even pick your sweetness level when ordering. They do the best for you. My mum loves this.

This is hot grass jelly with yam and red bean. The hot grass jelly (liquid) is so cooling for the throat like herbal tea. But a small reminder for those who order this. The hot grass jelly will slowly freeze and turn into grass jelly while you are eating (within 5mins i can say). I feel unpleasant because is like half liquid half jelly. May be I should request them to heat it up for me next time.

Besides the desserts, they only serve this Biscuit (香餅) @ RM1.20. It comes hot like fresh from oven.

Afterall this Taiwanese Dessert is suitable for the whole family from elderly to children because all their ingredients are all good for health regardless the cold or hot series. Price are average at RM5 - RM6.50.
