Pastis Cafe & Dining @ The Gardens, Midvalley

Pastis Cafe is located next to the escalator to basement car park. The cafe looks bit high class, something like hotel's lounge bar. Basically they are more towards western style cakes & coffee, with some pasta and sandwiches. Saw most customer here to enjoy the hi-tea.

Hot Mocha @ RM9.90
It is served with a piece of biscotti. Taken a hard time to stir the mocha because the cream is almost half of the glass. The coffee is very creamy and sweet at the end because lots of chocolate jam are not melted. Will request for light cream the next round. I feel so fattening now.

Mushroom Soup @ RM15.90
It comes with a huge serving bowl or i should is a plate instead? Only the middle is sink into where the soup are filled. It's served with 2 soft bread too.

Mushroom Soup
Quite disappointed with the mushroom soup as it was over extremely salty The texture and taste is actually very good and nice. But just too salty. I wonder does the chef added triple portion of salt in it. We requested for a cup of hot water to add in, hoping to dilute the saltiness. I saw the table next door is smiling and i think they did the same too.

Lamb Pie @ RM19.90
The lamb pie is topped with a chunk of mashed potato and some salads at the side. It was showered with delicious brown sauce. The mashed potato is quite rough but can easily taste the real potato taste. The pastry of the pie is delicious, and there are lots of lamb meat cube in it with some potato cubes too. Even the salad is nice with their salad balsamic sauce. Afterall its delicious but again quite salty.

The Yogitree @ The Gardens, KL

Come across this Restaurant from webuy, where I bought a coupon of RM49.90 for 2 sets meal (Main Dishes + Desserts + Drinks) that worth of RM112.00).

The Yogitree restaurant located at the busiest shopping centre between KL and PJ - the Gardens mall. Yogitree served mostly healthy organic food, thats why their pricing is slightly higher compared to normal restaurants.

Oriental Mushroom Linguini @ RM24.00
This is a vegetarian pasta, that stir fried with all kinds of mixed Japanese mushroom. Peeping at Yogitree menu, there are iringi, shitake, enoki, oyster, shimeiji mushrooms, arugula vegetables, carrots and cucumber. Not to forget, the linguini are fried with a dash of healthy truffle oil. Therefore the pasta really looks oily, a layer of oil at the bottom where i find it quite jelak while eating. But telling myself those are healthy olive oil, shouldn't be a problem.

Wagyu Beef Cheese Burger @ RM36.00
It was served with nicely decorated mixed side salads, potato wedges, mustard and gherkins and wagyu beef burger at each side of the serving plate. The side salad are refreshing serving with their home-made dressing. The potato wedges are crispy at the skin and flavour in it.

Wagyu Beef Cheese Burger
The wagyu beef was sandwich with a toasted soft bread. It doesn't look big at diameter but the wagyu beef patties is thick with some ham on top. The patties is really moist and the meat is divinely tender. You doesn't need to add on any sauce on it, the wagyu beef is very flavoured and taste delicious. This is a perfect Sunday brunch for me.

Cheese Cake @ RM13.00
Yogitree has some daily cakes and brownies. Their cheese cake is very rich of cheese. The taste is strong and cake is soft, it is melting in my mouth each and every bite.

Having an afternoon tea with friends and family here is relaxing and comfortable with the quiet environment.

Garden Lifestyle Store & Cafe @ Mid Valley Megamall

Went to Mid Valley this afternoon and walk around but don't know what to eat. Passby this greenish garden feel Cafe... ya it's really call Garden actually. hahhaa so we went in for brunch. Recall I tried the outlet in 1 Utama few years back. The water-cress soup was fresh and nice, but i dint order this time.

A pretty pianist playing in a cage!!... why cage her? aiks.... funny idea...

Cappuccino @ RM8.90
Coffee was nice but don't like when the time the waiter serve it to my table... it spilt at the side of the cup are all coffee stain...

Chef's recommended Wild Mushroom Soup @ RM10.90
Wonder the golden circle is vinegar or olive oil?? hahaa why i ask so is because the soup taste sourish.. is kind of weird right? May be to open your appetite to finish it... Garlic bread is crispy very nice.

The Garden Sandwich @ RM14.90

Clay Pot Fried Loh See Fun @ RM12.90
Something special to try in a ''Garden'' cafe - Asian food. Hmmm i think it's put into the Claypot after fried because the claypot is not HOT... so actually just served in claypot not cook in claypot... hahhaha
Inside contains generous of shredded black seaweed, onions, carrots, bean sprout with egg. A bit too salty i can say.

ooops... too fussy and how come so many complains....
After all the food is quite okay... and to enjoy the "garden'' feel in a shopping complex.

Ko Hyang (故鄉) @ The Gardens Midvalley City

Once looking for food at The Gardens MV. Found this Korean delights at the lower ground floor just outside Ding Tai Feng Restaurant and next to the escalator. It was quite packed and tables are almost full of customers.

Sik Hae Korean rice Tea (Korean style barley) @ RM3.80
It taste like rice tea, kind of herbal water for me.

Kim Chi Ji Gae (Thick and rich kimchi stew with rice) @ RM14.90
Rich kimchi soup which is quite spicy and full of garlic to me as i cant take too spicy food. Funny is the top pieces you can see are sliced sausages.

Pa Jeon (Korean pancake with spring onion) @ RM9.90

Besides these, they serves seafood noodle, fried rice, stir fried noodle and Snow ice too. One who like Korean food can check this out. The seller are Korean.

The food is just not right for me as I don like garlic taste.

Hokkaido Ichiba; Kita no ZEN (北の膳) @ The Gardens

Hokkaido Ichiba is a rather new Japanese Restaurant located at the 3rd floor of Gardens, Midvalley just open last September. Looking at its deco and Shojikiya shop next to it not hard to notice they operates under the same management as Sushi Zanmai and Pasta Zanmai.

Although many claimed to reduce consuming food from Japan especially dining at a Japanese Restaurant is a No No, after the Earthquake + tsunami disaster at Japan last month. My friend and I still insist to go as we just LOVE japanese food, hahahaa.

Mind you, Hokkaido Ichiba has a long queue outside too, similar to Sushi Zanmai which is always on queue no matter what time.

(this pix taken after our meal around 10.30pm, so you see no ppl queue-ing)

From outside you can see Hokkaido Ichiba looks more grand and premier so goes to their food portion and price too.

Each one will be given a soy sauce each and wasabi was shared among all, more upon request.

Sushiya Salad with dressing @ RM18.00 (small).
They are so generous on the sashimi salmon, tuna and crab meat !!

This is the first time i try sashimi salad and it just made me loving it... !!

Iso Sashimi Mori (5 kinds of 2 pieces each) @ RM75.00

the sashimi set is really huge in slices!! almost 3x times fatter than the one served at Sushi Zanmai. ^.^ Everything is perfect and fresh except the prawn, which taste weird to me.

Shio Ramen with Grilled chicken @ RM12.80
There is corns, jpn kelp, seaweed, sliced onion and egg.

A big bowl of Ramen, we share this among two. The soup is so nice that i almost finish it all.

I had a shocked when this came. This is so huge !!!
Stamina Maki @ RM28.00

Definitely can't a mouth in unless you got a big mouth oh, hehehee. The unagi meat is still soft and tasty although is so big and thick. No ''big bones'' either.

Spider Maki @ RM22.00
Same as the above, each sushi is huge and i think its almost about 6cm in diameter.

Chicken Katsujyu Bento @ RM26.00
another giant size bento.

my friend said he never expect this 3x times large portion which takes him a hard time to finish it.

Nabeyaki Udon @ RM22.00
serves hot in a burning claypot. Friend claim that its very delicious.

We finished our meal until the time they close. All of us are so full and no more room for the Hokkaido Ice Cream dessert!!! Must leave some space to try their dessert next time. Total bill comes up to RM236.40 for 4 pax. I think its reasonable and we are satisfied with the ''premier'' food and holding our big tummy home.

Some photos in Hokkaido Ichiba.
