Hokkaido Ramen Santouka @ Tokyo Street, Pavilion KL

Went to Pavilion last Saturday. I seldom went up to Level 6 as its quite quiet up there. Recently, Pavilion had introduced the Tokyo Street with new formation with 32 new outlets of a mix of Japanese Restaurant, retail and services.

Chosen Santouka for lunch as introduce by a friend that the Ramen here is nice. Luckily the queue is not long around 3pm. The waitress will take your order when queue-ing and pass to the kitchen once your table is available.

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka was established in 1988 in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. Santouka founder - Hitoshi Hatanaka wanted to develop a classic ramen for all to enjoy, made with a simple soup that could be savored to the last, spoonful and topped with a fabulous char-siu pork. In essence, a masterfully assembled ramen whose superior ingredients and magnificient, robust flavor would truly stand out and long-lasting.

Some ''samples display'' in front of the restuarant. Currently Santouka is operating with some basic Ramen on the menu. There will be new menu and set meals coming soon.

Cup of hot Green Tea come in a cute mini pot @ RM4.00
(just a tea bag of OSK Japanese Green Tea which cost just less than 50cents oopz)

Santouka signature Shio SOUP - salt flavor

I tried the Shio Ramen (Salt Flavor). Its available in 3 sizes,
Small @ RM22.50,
Regular @ RM25.00 and
Large @ RM29.00.
It will be best to pick Regular as additional of RM2.50 with extra piece of char siu and noodles.

The Ramen noodle is smooth match perfectly with the pork-bones soup base. Really enjoy my bowl of Ramen especially the soup.

It comes with 2 pieces of Char Siu, although there is another dish of Char Siu Ramen. I don't fond on char siu normally when i had ramen because they usually are quite dry or rough. But this Char Siu is tender and juicy, it comes with little fats too.

Negi & Char Siu Gohan (Leek & Char Siu Rice Bowl) @ RM9.00

The taste of char siu aroma and little sweet (sauce) on my first mouth. Their generous of char siu served makes me hope to request for more rice. Hahaa yes the rice can be more as the rice bowl is bit small.

Chicken Gyoza (Dumpling) - 5 pieces @ RM10.00
A bit ''roasted'' makes the dumpling skin too chewy. Hope they don't over fry my dumpling next time. =]

It's serves with vinegar and red ''sauce''.

Overall the food is nice and really enjoy the Ramen. But its really quite pricey. Will be back once a while when i am craving for Ramen.
