The Loaf @ Tokyo Street, Pavilion KL

The Loaf is at Tokyo Street, Pavilion too!! But they different from the one at Level 3 & 4 of Pavilion out let. The loaf at Tokyo street is selling Japanese-style bun, Oyaki which is a cross between bun and doughnut with fillings.

Oyaki was RM2.90 each for 12 varieties. Opening promotion was buy 6 oyaki for the price of 5 only until 31st Aug.

There were so many choices of Oyaki when I passby before lunch. Mum suggest that we had lunch and later buy this back for tea.

However, when I return 2 hours later the Oyaki are all gone!! left only the Kaya flavor... =.=''

Luckily there are also selling the Moist & Creamy Japanese Nama Roll cakes with flavors of Maple Syrup, Mixed Fruits, Green Tea, Red Bean and Strawberries. I'm so eager to buy the Strawberry roll after tasteing one at Haikara Style Bakery @ also a Japanese kind of Roll cake. Unfortunately its sold out too!! At last i bought the Caramel Maple Syrup @ RM15.00 as its one of the hot seller too.

My maple syrup japanese roll  !!!

Shocked me that i saw its middle is fill up of CREAM !!!! I'm expecting something like the ''swiss roll'' which middle was rolled with cakes too.

I'm wondering is it fattening?? But the cream taste totally different from those normal bakery shop's cream cake. This japanese roll cream is more rich and taste milky fresh. The cake roll is really tasty with the aroma and sweetness of maple syrup.. LOVE it...

Wonder can I recommend to have lesser cream in it? if not the roll is really perfect !!

Ochado 茶の道 @ Tokyo Street, Pavilion KL

Went to Pavilion to explore the new Tokyo Street at Pavilion last weekend. After a satisfactory brunch at Hokkaido Ramen Santouka,  we walk around and this stall - OCHADO caught my eye!! It has quite a long queue. Ochado is something similar to the Taiwan pearl milk tea but is presented in a new Japanese concept kind of milk tea.

極致展現。好茶到 Insist The Best
OCHADO, originated from Japan.

I ordered the Premium Milk Tea series:
Okinawa Match Milk Tea w Azuki Beans 沖繩抹奶茶 @ RM6.90 Medium (add RM1 for Large)
- The green tea aroma is rich and the sweetness is just nice.. Azuki beans is something bigger than the normal red beans.. yumm yumm..!!

and OchaDo's Roasted Milk Tea 茶の道烤奶茶 @ RM4.90 Medium add RM1 for Pearl toppings.
- The milk tea taste bit disappointed as its tea aroma not rich enough. I will still prefer the omphh of milk tea by Chatime.

Their Bestseller:
OchaDo's Milk Tea
Okinawa Matcha Milk Tea w Azuki Beans
Oolong White Peach Tea
OchaDo's Lemonade
Pearl Milk Tea
3 Q Passionate Tea

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka @ Tokyo Street, Pavilion KL

Went to Pavilion last Saturday. I seldom went up to Level 6 as its quite quiet up there. Recently, Pavilion had introduced the Tokyo Street with new formation with 32 new outlets of a mix of Japanese Restaurant, retail and services.

Chosen Santouka for lunch as introduce by a friend that the Ramen here is nice. Luckily the queue is not long around 3pm. The waitress will take your order when queue-ing and pass to the kitchen once your table is available.

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka was established in 1988 in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. Santouka founder - Hitoshi Hatanaka wanted to develop a classic ramen for all to enjoy, made with a simple soup that could be savored to the last, spoonful and topped with a fabulous char-siu pork. In essence, a masterfully assembled ramen whose superior ingredients and magnificient, robust flavor would truly stand out and long-lasting.

Some ''samples display'' in front of the restuarant. Currently Santouka is operating with some basic Ramen on the menu. There will be new menu and set meals coming soon.

Cup of hot Green Tea come in a cute mini pot @ RM4.00
(just a tea bag of OSK Japanese Green Tea which cost just less than 50cents oopz)

Santouka signature Shio SOUP - salt flavor

I tried the Shio Ramen (Salt Flavor). Its available in 3 sizes,
Small @ RM22.50,
Regular @ RM25.00 and
Large @ RM29.00.
It will be best to pick Regular as additional of RM2.50 with extra piece of char siu and noodles.

The Ramen noodle is smooth match perfectly with the pork-bones soup base. Really enjoy my bowl of Ramen especially the soup.

It comes with 2 pieces of Char Siu, although there is another dish of Char Siu Ramen. I don't fond on char siu normally when i had ramen because they usually are quite dry or rough. But this Char Siu is tender and juicy, it comes with little fats too.

Negi & Char Siu Gohan (Leek & Char Siu Rice Bowl) @ RM9.00

The taste of char siu aroma and little sweet (sauce) on my first mouth. Their generous of char siu served makes me hope to request for more rice. Hahaa yes the rice can be more as the rice bowl is bit small.

Chicken Gyoza (Dumpling) - 5 pieces @ RM10.00
A bit ''roasted'' makes the dumpling skin too chewy. Hope they don't over fry my dumpling next time. =]

It's serves with vinegar and red ''sauce''.

Overall the food is nice and really enjoy the Ramen. But its really quite pricey. Will be back once a while when i am craving for Ramen.
