Pacific Coffee Company Cafe @ Gurney Paragon Mall, Penang

Walking around the new Gurney Paragon Mall and saw this Paciffic Coffee Company having this all-day breakfast set promotion. There are 4 choices of set meals from RM9.90 including a fresh brewed coffee. Topped up RM2.00 to exchange for a Latte or Cappuccino.

Breakfast Set @ RM9.90 + RM2.00 (upgrade)
It comes with a Tomato Strudel and I upgrade to Cappuccino. The Tomato Strudel is a pastry topped with lots of brown sesame and stuffed with dry tomato paste. The paste is very sourish and tasty while the strudel pastry is very crunchy. It's addictive eating it.

Cappuccino
This is my first time drinking pacific coffee and i was stunned with the thick foam on top of the cup but did not overflow. The foam is quite thick and taste with a mild coffee aroma. The cappuccino is quite nice and i can really taste the light bitterness without adding sugar.

Mochaccino @ RM11.90
Different between mocha and mochaccino is that Mochaccino will have more foam than mocha. Yes 2 inch of foam on top. The portion is huge for a tall size. Taste wise, it is actually quite mild of both choco and coffee. For me, i prefer a stronger and thicker taste.

Breakfast Set : Chicken Pie @ RM7.90 (with Coffee)
The chicken pie was heated and served hot. The pastry on top is super duper crispy. Everything turn a mess when I start cutting my pie. Despite the ugly situation, the pastry really taste crunchy and delicious with the strong buttery taste. Inside is stuff with minced gravy and just one or two chicken dice. It's like thick campbell soup base in it. Taste soft but acceptable.

Breakfast set: Turkey Cheddar Sandwich @ RM7.90 (with Coffee)
You can choose to have it heat up or not. Comes with wholemeal bread, turkey ham, 2 slices of cheddar cheese and lettuce. It taste good and the combination of turkey ham and cheddar is delicious.

The cafe is operate by a young man who is the barista too. The environment is cozy and comfortable. There are sofas corner which is a nice place to relax.

Lam Mee Ya @ Empire Shopping Gallery, Subang

LamMeeYa has been opening several outlets is major shopping centre nowadays. It was like ages since my previous visit at the 1Utama branch. Their food is getting more variety and recently serving the double boiled soup and all kinds of healthy fruits juice too in Empire Shopping outlet.

Lam YeeMee
Order the Lam Yee Mee for myself instead of the normal thick yellow noodle. Sick of the thick noodle on my last visit in 1U. This time the yee mee taste really better as i like the aroma of yee mee noodle. It's served with prawns, meatball, sliced chicken and some vege. I'm glad that they removed the prawn shell for me. Everything is delicious.

Special Chilli Sauce
The gravy mix well with their special chili sauce. Feel its not so spicy this time. Great !

Steam bread with kaya and butter
Find it funny that day served bread here too! The bread is steamed soft but its not heat enough to melt the butter. Somehow i just feel it taste normal. Nothing special about this.

Royal Milk Tea
The milk tea here really not bad. Nothing to complain from a Noodle Shop. Smooth and fragrance of tea is strong too. I'm not sure what is the difference between this royal milk tea and their normal milk tea. Visually is the mug that makes the different and both has so much bubbles on top too. There is a difference of 20 cents on price oh.

Pastis Cafe & Dining @ The Gardens, Midvalley

Pastis Cafe is located next to the escalator to basement car park. The cafe looks bit high class, something like hotel's lounge bar. Basically they are more towards western style cakes & coffee, with some pasta and sandwiches. Saw most customer here to enjoy the hi-tea.

Hot Mocha @ RM9.90
It is served with a piece of biscotti. Taken a hard time to stir the mocha because the cream is almost half of the glass. The coffee is very creamy and sweet at the end because lots of chocolate jam are not melted. Will request for light cream the next round. I feel so fattening now.

Mushroom Soup @ RM15.90
It comes with a huge serving bowl or i should is a plate instead? Only the middle is sink into where the soup are filled. It's served with 2 soft bread too.

Mushroom Soup
Quite disappointed with the mushroom soup as it was over extremely salty The texture and taste is actually very good and nice. But just too salty. I wonder does the chef added triple portion of salt in it. We requested for a cup of hot water to add in, hoping to dilute the saltiness. I saw the table next door is smiling and i think they did the same too.

Lamb Pie @ RM19.90
The lamb pie is topped with a chunk of mashed potato and some salads at the side. It was showered with delicious brown sauce. The mashed potato is quite rough but can easily taste the real potato taste. The pastry of the pie is delicious, and there are lots of lamb meat cube in it with some potato cubes too. Even the salad is nice with their salad balsamic sauce. Afterall its delicious but again quite salty.
