Hakka Rang Restaurant (客家人) @ Kota Damansara

Went to this special Hakka (客家) cuisine a few times back. The food there is something special and unique different from normal chinese restaurant. This is a family business and the restaurant environment is clean and tidy.

Their special hakka dishes:

Hakka Tofu Pok (客家豆腐卜) - there are meat ball in the beancurd ball. soup is clear and nice.


Claypot beancurd with egg - there are minced meat and sliced mushroom inside too


Bittergourd with salted egg - I don't like bittergourd but i truely love this dish as the salted egg yolk just cover up the bitter taste..


Deep fried pork with black fungus 炸肉燜木耳 - the meat is ''mun'' till very soft and tender with the sauce. best to serve with rice !!


Curry wild pork 加哩山猪肉 - hardly can find wild pork in the market and wild pork is usually very hard to bite, but this is totally different... 


stir fry potato leaves - nice and crunchy (not oily)


Recently they are serving this coconut ice-lollies !!! 6 flavors available.

My childhood ice cream... hahhaa my all time favorite - Corn flavor !!



Food is delicious and worth of trying. Price range around RM10 - RM15. Weekend is quite pack but don worry the food is served quite fast.
