Since the foremost lonely ''The Woke Cafe - penang nyonya food'' started their business in this quiet Strand, there are so many restaurant open now.
This is another chinese restaurant that serve local cuisine, just right opposite of The Woke Cafe.
apetizer - braised ground nuts. not soft not hard, still preserve some crunchy
one of their specialties - Braised Tofu with abalone sauce (served with big prawns n needle mushrooms too) love this dish!! the tofu and sauce just matched perfectly.
Assam Fish - not very spicy and the sauce is thick
another specialties - Stir Fried Paku Belacan (paku vege from Sarawak, hardly find at other restaurants) i remember i don't like paku vege when i first tried because its so sticky like eating glue. But theirs are so nice, none of the glue texture, only crunchy like vege. delicious !!!
Their special drink : Lemon Grass Peppermint Tea. They channel the proceeds to NKF (National Kidney Foundation Malaysia) It's worth trying and further doin charity at the same time.

Kapitan Chicken Hotplate. First time i see yellow kapitan sauce. Although i don't like petai but it doesn't spoil the taste. the sauce is so nice to serve with rice.

They also served other seafood such as, thai coconut prawn, butter crab, kam heong imported lala etc. Environment is clean and comfy. Price are fairly reasonable too. I have been their several times. They are quite pack during weekends, especially dinner time. Go early or make a reservation.
