Latest KFC Lunch Treats @ No Famous Bowl

Every morning will tuned on myFm radio station while driving to work. The KFC advertisement caught my attention a few times. The new KFC lunch treats starts from RM4.95 from 12pm - 3pm.

Set A for RM4.95
- 1 KFC Famous Bowl
- 1 (R) Carbonated Drink

Set B for RM5.95
- 1 Colonel Burger Stacker
- 1 (R) Fun Fries
- 1 (R) Carbonated Drink

Set C for RM5.95
- 1 piece Chicken
- 1 Colonel Chicken Rice
- 1 (R) Coleslaw
- 1 (R) Carbonated Drink


Went to Malaysia's 100th KFC outlet ~ SS2 last week for a try on their new Famous Bowl.



However, i was quite disappointed. The famous bowl was totally different in terms of appearance and not up to par!! or may be my expectation to them is too high? haha

the ''plastic bowl'' with no KFC logo. the food is pre-heat in their storage. The gravy sunk inside had make the chicken rice so soft and wet. Miserable chunks of fried chicken was soft and not the skin no longer crunchy. The chicken is quite tasteless anyway. I feel i was like eating baby (porridge) food >.<

I think it will be more delightful if they fresh prepared after someone make their order at the counter. What is so hard to prepare an easy meal like this? No point of pre-prepared and pre-heat and make everything soaked in their plastic ''no famous bowl''.

Jom Jimat Meal & Colonel Melody Meal @ KFC

Have been quite some time didn't been to KFC for its Kentucky Fried Chicken !!!

that day went there for lunch because colleagues wanted to buy the Musical Coinbox.

Economic is bad now.... after McDonald's introduce the McValue Lunch meal for only RM5.95 ,

Malaysia Kentucky Fried Chicken KFC is introducing a slightly lower value meal - ''Jom Jimat'' meal too. 

i ordered myself Set A @ RM5.70 + 5% tax

-1 colonel chicken rice, 1 piece chicken, 1 (R) coleslaw, 1 (R) carbonated drink.

there are also other meal sets that range from RM4.90 - RM5.90

Add some whipped potato's gravy on the chicken rice.... and it just taste superb !!!! so delicious that i finish the whole plate leaving the bones only.  (may be i'm quite hungry that day.. coz normally i cant finish my lunch.)

the Colonel Melody Meal @ RM15.55 + 5% tax

- 2 piece chicken, 1 (R) coleslaw, 1 (R) carbonated drink, & 1 Colonel porcelain Musical Coinbox 

you can also get the Musical coinbox @ RM8.30 for a la cart meal.

times are bad... its time to save!!!  while you can listen to a few different music when inserting the coins ...

the Jom Jimat Meal with chicken rice and a piece of chicken is not bad for a try.... the rice is nice !!! never expect it from KFC... nevertheless is just RM6.00 after tax.... almost similar like you eat at normal hawker stall for a bowl of mee / chicken rice + glass of drink. Furthermore KFC provide air-conditional and free wifi too.   BUT of coz cannot eat everyday... you know i know why.. hahhaa
