New Paris Restaurant (新巴黎露天菜館) @ SS2

This restaurant was introduced by one of my colleagues. When i first heard the name of the restaurant, I was surprised and thought it might be a very high-end or expensive restaurant due to the ''grand'' name it has ~ New Paris.

Actually is a normal restaurant that served chinese cuisines. However, they have their specialities too, that make the restaurant expand into 4 storey of 3 shop lots and well known in PJ area. Ground floor is more to open air, and top floors are air-conditioned.

Tonight, I went there with a bunch of friends again. Ground floor Even weekends, the restaurant is almost full at the Ground and First floor.

The special homemade chili sauce, which is not very spicy. A mix of sweet, sour and sambal with onions. Good to serve with your meal.

Claypot beancurd with mixed mushroom. I can just finish my rice with the gravy.

Deep Fried Pork Knuckle - although it looks ugly and over roasted, but actually the meat underneath is tender soft!! The skin is crunchy and chewable. Added with the aromatic sauce given, its so nice!! (Sorry to say, it is much better and price wisely than the pork knuckle i tried in Euro Deli)

Yam Basket with chicken dice. I seldom eat yam, but this is crispy and nice. The chicken taste like marmite sauce.

Total bill is around RM138 for 7 of us. (RM20/ person). Most expensive must be the pork knuckle.
