Restoran Ming Heong (名香餐館) @ Aman Suria

Went to this Chinese Restaurant that day after recommended by a friend. He went to eat with a gang of golfers the week before.

This is a family business. The lady boss said that they previously open a cafe but now change to Chinese cuisine. They have been in Aman Suria more than a year.

salted vege tofu soup 鹹菜豆腐湯 @ RM8 ~ RM10 (can't really recall)

There are prawns and squid too. The taste is just average, it should be boiled longer for the stronger taste of salted vegetables.

marmite pork rib 瑪密排骨 @ RM16 ~ RM18

The meat looks small piece and marmite sauce taste weird. The pork meat is quite hard.

potato leaves belacan 蕃薯苗馬來盞 @ RM15 ~

This is the best out of dishes.

Not much opinion. May be i'm not hungry that night or the food just don't fits me.

The price i can't really remember the exact amount but is really not cheap.

Crab Seafood Restaurant (辣椒蟹) @ Kota Damansara {CLOSED DOWN}

Passed by Dataran Sunway, Kota Damansara a few times and saw this chinese restaurant quite happening especially weekends. Obviously they are serving seafood especially famous on Crabs as shown on the big banner in front of the shop. It was located at the middle of shoplots behind Eon Bank and UOB Bank.

There are air conditioned and also open air just beside the side lane, which cars cannot pass through.

They only serve Sri Langka Crab !! Huge one is RM68 each and Small one is RM38 each.

Coconut drink (i still prefer the smaller thai coconut which have more flesh and coconut taste is stronger)

Baby French Beans with baby shrimp (桂豆苗炒蝦米) @ RM14

Steamed Siakap with Nyonya Sauce (娘惹蒸石甲魚) @ RM38

The sauce is abit too salty and the fish is not very fresh that day. We din't finish it especially near the stomach. May be is not clean thoroughly.

Butter & Milk Crabs (鮮奶蟹) @ small RM38

the sauce is delicious, you will just enjoy licking the crab shell.

Dip it with steam bun (饅頭) is the best when its hot. @ RM1/each

Chilli Basil Crab (怪味九 層塔蟹) @ small RM38

As the name say, it really taste weird. Combination of salty and sweetness, something like the marmite sauce. But the basil taste good. Look out for the chili padi, it wont be too spicy unless you bite on it. I feel this quite dry and still my all-time favourite prefer the butter milk sauce!!

The Sri Langka crab is smooth and flexible. I order the small ones to try different sauce. But the huge one is really big as i look at the table beside me. Its almost 3 times of the small crab!.. I want to try the big Sri Langka Crab next time.

They also served other seafood such as clams, lala, squid, bamboo shells, cod fish, giant water prawns etc.

Ice Room @ The Strand, Kota Damansara

Attracted by this GREEN color building. It's call the ''ICE ROOM'' located in the Strand of Kota Damansara. Passby once and saw the this restaurant quite interesting, especially during the night. After dine-in only I realize they are specialized on Snow Ice.

Your eyes will feel relief and relax in the restaurant because almost everything inside are green in color. Surprising, customers mostly are malays, even the workers because i saw chinese on the menu too. Thats why I thought is a Taiwan Restaurant due to the snow ice.

Home Roasted White Coffee (特濃白咖啡) @ RM2.80

the coffee is quite rich and taste like kopitiam kopi.

SeZhuan Spicy Noodle (京都炸醬撈面) @ RM7.90

It's quite disappointed with this, as is quite different from the menu which have so much meat sauce but this has just like quarter of it only. The noodle taste like dry instant noodle with black soysauce I cook at home.

Snow Bun Avocado (牛油果雪花糕) @ RM4.50

I actually thought is served cold from its name, but it comes hot. Actually is just a kind of bun with kaya custard. May be the top greenish is avocado? But i can't taste any avocado after finish.

Snow Ice Black Sesame (黑芝麻奶雪花冰) @ RM8.90

The snow ice is thin and soft enough which layered together. It melted once enter your mouth. I love this coz is not very sweet. Meanwhile the best dish i can in this restaurant. hehee

Their chair are unique.

They are in western, chinese, and local cuisine.

This mascot of the Restaurant is cool too!

The decoration and atmosphere is a nice place for friends gathering and have some snow ice.

Might go back just for the snow ice with friends next time. But for the food really so so, or may be I can try other food. hmmm

Raju Restaurant (Banana Leaf RIce) @ Off Jalan Gasing

A oversea friend came to visit me last month. She is craving for Malaysia's local cuisine, so after some survey on net, I found her this restaurant their famous Banana Leaf Rice.

This is my first time here too. Raju serves local Indian Food and it was located just next to La Salle Secondary School, off Jalan Gasing. It's always crowded especially during lunch time and dinner. They extended tables beside with big umbrellas under the trees so is more windy sitting outside.

You can pick your seafood here and they cook it on spot. Various seafood selection: crabs, prawn, squid, and several types of fishes.

Sambal Curry Prawns @ RM8.00

Chicken Paratal @ RM7.00

Deep Fried Squid - this is fresh and crispy @ RM8.00

the most wanted - Banana Leaf Rice (3 vege and papadum) @ RM5.50

The black piece is fish cutlet @ RM2.00

I like their papadum!! ask for more.

There are 3 types of gravy for the rice: fish curry, dhal and vege curry

roti canai with egg and onion @ RM2.70

a match with the dhal and curry gravy

I love the teh tarik so much which only cost RM1.50 each

They even have their own Brand of Curry paste. You can try cooking it yourself at home.

A place that you can find traditional indian food and snacks with reasonable price.

Yippee Cup Bubble Tea Cafe @ SS2

Yippee Cup has been located in SS2 area for several years. They are famous of Taiwan Bubble Tea. They are basically asian fusion includes taiwanese, western and local cuisine. Day time is abit quiet but more crowded during night time especially weekends. Projector TV upstairs for football match and MTV music during night session.

Usually I went there for lunch. The set lunch cost only from RM9.90, RM13.90 and RM15.90. Up to 8 choices for each price range.

the set lunch includes a drink and soup of the day.

Drinks are either Fresh fruit juice (orange/ apple) OR ice lemon tea

but usually mushroom soup everyday

the main dishes:

Chicken chop rice with black pepper sauce and egg. @ RM13.90

Beef ball Spaghetti with red/ white sauce. RM13.90

i love this, the sauce is thick and sour. Beef meat ball has crunchy skin and juicy inside.

Their crispy chicken chop is quite a big portion. Even my colleague (guy) can't finish it.

Food is delicious and portion is big. Price is low and worth-while.

Further surprise when we seated. They are having 50% on 2nd set now !!!
