Restoran LYJ 李雄記冷氣酒家 @ Kg Baru, Sungai Buloh

A famous restaurant at Sg Buloh new village. Many functions like Wedding, Annual dinner held here, as they have an extra outlet next door to cater the larger group of ppl.

Tea Pot Soup @ RM26.00
I find this very special. Especially this is a herbal soup with pork. Is kind of a clear soup but contains strong herbal taste.

Standing Roast Chicken @ RM44.00

This is one of their signature dish - Stand roasted chicken. Yes is a whole chicken serve on the table. This chicken is to be tear off ourselves to eat. There are scissors and plastic gloves provided. But if you are lazy, they can chopped into pieces for you like the above pic. The chicken roasted just nice and juicy. I love the crispy skin with roasted aroma. Its a kampung chicken but still not very hard to bite.

Sour plum and Chilli Sauce for the chicken
Stir fry Kangkung with garlic @ RM13.00
Lala with Ginger @ RM25.00
The lala is quite huge and sweet. I love the ginger sauce too, good to serve with rice.

Claypot beancurd @ RM14.00
Brown Rice @ RM1.50

Overall food here is nice with reasonable price for family and friends gathering.

Jom Bali Cafe @ Carrefour Subang Jaya

Jombali is located at Subang Jaya Carrefour. They are serving the local malayasian cuisine. The food served very slow and they are like lack of staff because it is hard to call them. The waiter waitress are always very busy.

Sambal spaghetti with chicken
Its a mix of malay and western style. The spaghetti is fried with sambal paste, tasted sour and spicy. The chicken is disappointed because its not tender and tasteless.

Ginger Barley with Honey
It taste sweet and interesting with the ginger taste.

Kantonis Fried Sang Mee
Jombali serving set lunch during weekdays from 11.00am to 3.00pm. At the price of RM10.90 you get a main dish and a glass of drink.
It actually looks nice when served. The noodles are not still very crunchy although after soaking in the hot gravy for some time. Disappointed me again, the gravy is almost tasteless. We had to add on black soy sauce to enhance the flavour. Not to mention other ingredients, the prawns itself taste very artificial. It's almost transparent and no natural sweet taste at all besides crunchy.

Firewood Roaste Ice Coffee
Got a free drink with a nice name of Firewood Roaste Ice Coffee. Tasted just like normal ice coffee but at least better than the expectation of the noodle.

Restaurant Hing Kee 興福美食之家 @ Bayu Tinggi, Klang

Restaurant Hing Kee located at one of a shoplot in Batu Unjur Klang. Something special here is that their Main Chef sits while cooking. This is because the chef is a handicapped sitting on a wheel chair. I really salute and appreciate his attitude and cooking. Furthermore, the food are delicious.

Minced Meat Noodle @ RM9.00
This is one of the signature dish in the restaurant. The sang mee is rinsed and stir up with the dark black sauce. Topped with a blanket of minced meat sauce and fresh spring onions. The noodle is quite springy chewy but is mild to eat alone. Best to serve it with the minced meat.

Hin Hwa Birthday Noodle @ RM12.00
Hin Hwa is actually the name of a place. The birthday noodle is nice fried with mushroom, marinated minced meat, onions, egg, carrots and vegetables. Personally feel the marinated minced meat is very special. It is soft and tender like has been quoted with cooking flour makes it very smooth. The fragrance of the ''wok hey'' is super strong that makes the dish so lively. Very addictive !

House Special Chilli Sauce
The house special chilli sauce. It was so fresh greenish in colour, which is grind til very thick and sticky. The taste is bit sourish and spicy that enrich the taste of good.

Claypot Pork Ribs with Yam @ RM15.00
The claypot came sizzling and boiling with the sauce. There are quite a number of pork ribs and cutlets of yam in it. The gravy is getting thicker while we eat as the yam is slowly melting. I can finish my white rice with this gravy. Like eating the yam cubes that taste fresh and crunchy. The pork ribs is tender and bit chewy, but somehow taste like chicken meat to me.

Movida Kitchen, Bar & Club Lounge @ Sunway Giza Mall, Kota Damansara

Movida has been operating in Sunway Giza since the mall is open. I always thought they are just a bistro or pub but they actually serve meals too. You can choose sitting inside with air-conditional or outside smoking area but still very windy and cooling during the night. Here is really a great place to hand out with friends or even colleagues.

Franziskaner @ RM48.00++/ glass
During Happy Hour all beers are buy 1 FREE 2 until 8pm. After 8pm is buy 1 Free 1.

Spicy Thai Pizza @ RM26.00
I like their thin crust dough instead of the thick ones. Tops with homemade thai paste, which chicken fillet, bird eye chili, onions, fresh mushrooms, coriander and cheese. Especially when bitten the bird eye chilli, my lips goes numb very fast. The crust is crunchy especially at the side.

The Yogitree @ The Gardens, KL

Come across this Restaurant from webuy, where I bought a coupon of RM49.90 for 2 sets meal (Main Dishes + Desserts + Drinks) that worth of RM112.00).

The Yogitree restaurant located at the busiest shopping centre between KL and PJ - the Gardens mall. Yogitree served mostly healthy organic food, thats why their pricing is slightly higher compared to normal restaurants.

Oriental Mushroom Linguini @ RM24.00
This is a vegetarian pasta, that stir fried with all kinds of mixed Japanese mushroom. Peeping at Yogitree menu, there are iringi, shitake, enoki, oyster, shimeiji mushrooms, arugula vegetables, carrots and cucumber. Not to forget, the linguini are fried with a dash of healthy truffle oil. Therefore the pasta really looks oily, a layer of oil at the bottom where i find it quite jelak while eating. But telling myself those are healthy olive oil, shouldn't be a problem.

Wagyu Beef Cheese Burger @ RM36.00
It was served with nicely decorated mixed side salads, potato wedges, mustard and gherkins and wagyu beef burger at each side of the serving plate. The side salad are refreshing serving with their home-made dressing. The potato wedges are crispy at the skin and flavour in it.

Wagyu Beef Cheese Burger
The wagyu beef was sandwich with a toasted soft bread. It doesn't look big at diameter but the wagyu beef patties is thick with some ham on top. The patties is really moist and the meat is divinely tender. You doesn't need to add on any sauce on it, the wagyu beef is very flavoured and taste delicious. This is a perfect Sunday brunch for me.

Cheese Cake @ RM13.00
Yogitree has some daily cakes and brownies. Their cheese cake is very rich of cheese. The taste is strong and cake is soft, it is melting in my mouth each and every bite.

Having an afternoon tea with friends and family here is relaxing and comfortable with the quiet environment.

Grumps Cafe @ SS2 Mall

Grumps located at the outer side area of SS2 Mall. They had another outlet at Kelana Jaya too. Grumps cafe serves pork and mainly on western cuisine. Their tables and chairs are very simple like a feel of ''food court'' when looking from outside. The workers are friendly but the food are serving slow. We waited for quite long before the salad are served.
Garden Salad
The salad comes in a big portion. Many greens and lots of chopped carrots, red pepper, cucumbers that makes it so colorful. We choose the balsamic vinegar for the sauce instead of thousand island sauce. Probably taste healthier with the balsamic vinegar. The salads are fresh!!

Pumpkin Soup
The color of the soup is beautifully yellowish. The taste of pumpkin is not strong, but quite refreshing. I don't fond on pumpkin but i can drink it all. Adding some white pepper makes it nicer.

400g Pork Ribs with Black Beer
The pork ribs portion is huge. It is nicely cut and decorated nicely with fries. It looks like braised 'siu yuk', with 3 layer of skin, fats and meat. The black beer sauce is sweet and nice. However, the meat seems not marinated equally, just the outer layer is flavourful. The meat had a very strong porky smell, some may not like it. Not the forget the fries are crispy and fat, good serving with the sauce.

Combo Pizza: Hawaiian & Mushroom @ RM22.00
It comes combo with 2 choices. The crust is very crispy and not thick at all. The Hawaiian is served with chicken ham and pineapple while the mushroom is served with tomato puree and mushroom only. Both are topped with mozzarella cheese that is so stingy. I personally like the Hawaiian style more that taste stronger and sweet with the pineapple. But the mushroom is a bit mild and almost tasteless besides the mozzarella cheese.

Bali Hai Seafood Village @ Sunsuria Avenue, Kota Damansara

Bali Hai Seafood Village is just open at Sunsuria, Kota Damansara. It is just next to the Tune Hotel. A big spacious building with car park available. I like their slogan on the big sign board. 'If It Swims, We Have".

There are a huge space of all the aquariums of fresh seafood, from fishes, lobster, scallops, abalone, crabs etc. All are priced by weight.
 Fresh Soon Hock @ RM82.00
We get a fresh lively soon hock for steam. I wonder why always soon hock fish looks ugly after steamed, the skin will crack and it looks like being eaten. Despite the look, the fish is really tasty. The meat is so fresh that taste so smooth like crab meat.

Four Season Vegetables @ RM18.00
It's a mix fried of petai, lotus, long beans, and four angled bean with sambal belacan. Quite spicy with the sambal. I left out petai because i don't like the taste, its smelly to me. Only dad loves it. The lotus and four angled bean are crunchy, fresh to munch. Overall a very green and healthy dish.

Tofu with Abalone sauce @ RM15.00
The waiter claimed that the tofu is their in-house made tofu and best goes with the abalone sauce. The taste is really as simple too. Disappointed with the abalone sauce that only taste salty till the max. At last we pour away the abalone sauce aside and eat the tofu itself.

Steamed flower crab with egg @ RM38.00
The flower crab is lively pick from the tank too. Steamed with chinese wine and egg. The fragrance smells great when served. The meat is smooth and fresh but quite tasteless. Lack of natural seafood 'sweet' at all. Too bad, they don't have the female crab that night, no crab egg yolk. If not it might be more tastier. Luckily the steamed egg along is smooth with some seafood taste. I actually finish most of the egg.

The food quite pricey but something special that you can pick your own seafood. Total bill that night was RM178.00 for 3 pax.

Restaurant Choong Foong @ Subang New Village

Choong Foong is a Chinese Restaurant at Subang New Village. It's quite popular and most of the people here knows it. The restaurant is huge like a big hall. Many weddings, functions or annual dinners will held here in Choong Foong Restaurant.

Belacan Kang Kung
The kang kung here is fresh and crunchy at the stick there. Their belacan is really spicy too.

Fried frog with Ginger Onions.
The frog is really meaty each of the parts. The meat is tender and fresh ''sweet'' too. Dad enjoy the spring onions because the sauce is very nice (入味).

Braised Tofu with Brocolli
The tofu is self-made by their kitchen chef. It is like a half ball size and fried it at the otter layer. Inside are stuffed with cube cutlets of cucumber, vege, mushrooms, prawns etc. Their home made tofu is very smooth but at the bottom inside is not warm. Probably the tofu is pre-cooked and just pour the hot gravy surround it.

Spicy & Sour Fish Maw
This is really a special dish that recommend by the Restaurant. The fish maw is sliced and deep fried before cooking. It's cooked with sliced pork, chinese bamboo and the sourish spicy thick sauce. The gravy is extremely spicy that it dumb both my lips after eating. The fish maw is elastic and sticky, not easy to bite off for some thicker ones.
